Whisky Festivals around the world you might want to attend during February 2022.

The calendar of whisky festivals and shows is finally getting crowded again. Each event is an exciting opportunity to browse through the innovations in the whisky’s world, meet new brands, taste the latest whisky releases, and get to know other whisky enthusiasts. Make sure you don’t miss any of the upcoming ones. Here are the dates of the Whisky Festivals for February 2022.

United Kingdom

This year, February promises to be a particularly busy month for all whisky fans in the UK.

Glasgow’s Whisky Festival

When:19th February 2022
Where: Hampden Park, Scotland’s National Stadium, Glasgow, Scotland

Formally, this would be the 2021 edition of the Festival. However, last year the event was postponed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 situation. According to the official announcement on the website, the new Festival date is 19 February. Tickets are already available from last November for £40.

Glasgow’s Whisky Festival highlights the area’s distilleries and the city’s independent bottlers. However, you can be sure that the event celebrates whiskies from all over the world.

Southport Winter Whisky Festival 2022

When: 11th and 12th February 2022
Where: Town Gardens and Remedy, Lord Street, Southport, England

This whisky festival promises to be an event full of interesting appointments and Masterclasses hosted by the most beloved whisky’s brands such as Macallan, Glenfiddich, Diageo and many more. Moreover, there will be a huge selection of drams available for tasting throughout the sessions and some exclusive expressions for the occasion.

If you decide to participate, you can purchase the tickets on the official website for £35 (except for Masterclasses which must be booked separately).

Newcastle Whisky Festival

When: 26th February 2022
Where: Barras Bridge, Haymarket, Newcastle upon Tyne, England

The Newcastle Whisky Festival is a global celebration of whisky from around the world. From Japan to India, from the USA and back to England: think of a whisky and you’ll probably find it there.

If you’d like to try some dram, try approaching some of the exhibitors’ stands. Ask for a sample, and you’ll get a delicious glass of whisky to taste. Moreover, there will certainly be no lack of interesting Masterclasses.

You can find all the information you need to purchase tickets on the official website.

USA

Whiskey Riot

When: 19th February 2022
Where: Buffalo, New York, USA

One of the most interesting Whisky Festivals for February 2022 is certainly Whiskey Riot in the USA. At the festival, you’ll get the chance to try over 200 whiskies (fine, maybe not physically possible but, still, you’ll have plenty to choose from), sample the most creative whisky cocktails and meet the Masters of Distillation.

Moreover, Whiskey Riot events are designed to be an educational experience, thus, each admission ticket includes access to multiple masterclasses for those who want to dive into the history of a brand or type of whiskey.

As always, you can buy tickets on the official website.

New Zealand

DramFest

When: 26th and 27th February 2022 (postponed)
Where: Te Pae Christchurch Convention and Exhibition Centre, New Zeland

It is New Zealand’s largest whisky education and tasting festival. DramFest will host over 50 exhibitors representing distilleries, producers and independent bottlers from Scotland, Japan, Ireland and around the whisky world.

If you want to take advantage of this unique opportunity, you will find tickets on the official website.

The official website has just announced the postponement of the DramFest due to the pandemic situation. We will update you when the team will confirm the new date.
